Happy Thanksgiving!

What a wonderful turkey day except that Courtney hadn't had a nap for four days! She wasn't happy until the turkey was done! I was amazed how quiet she got once the food was served!

Santa arrives!

I would say its hard to believe that Christmas is only a few weeks away, but with the little bit of snow we received last night its beginning to feel a bit like Christmas. Santa arrived last Friday via Fire Truck. The kids were excited to wave to Santa (the line to see him was about 2 hours long) and view the fireworks. They already know what they want Santa to leave under the tree. I guess we'll just write him a letter.

Happy Halloween!

Jason of course was Batman for Halloween and Courtney was a bluebird. She actually wore my 1st ballet costume. The kids loved trick-or-treating. We knew it was time to go home when Courtney started looking in all the houses and anouncing what they were watching on tv! I think they got enough candy to last until next Halloween!

Halloween Parade

Jason had a Halloween parade at school before his Halloween party. Courtney wore Jason's old Cookie Monster costume to it.

Jack-O-Lanterns!

We carved the pumpkins that the kids picked out at the pumpkin patch. They have been begging to do this since about September 5. We finally agreed last night and are hoping the pumpkins last until Halloween! Both kids designed their own pumpkin. I love the mustache that Jason put on his. Jason put hair on his pumpkin last year so of course Courtney had to try out her new scissor cutting skills on her pumpkin's hair this year. Jason also wanted to carve his pumpkin he got on his school field trip, but Courtney was more than done with carving as well as Kevin.

Didier Farms

We took the kids to Didier Farms, a.k.a. Mud Feast. What a muddy mess it was as well as cold and windy. The kids looked a few animals and luckily were ready to leave!

Pumpkin Patch

Sunday we took the kids to pick their pumpkins. There were pumpkins as far as the eye could see. We took a hayride out to the field and of course the kids chose the biggest pumpkins we could carry. They also played on the corn playground and climbed up and down the big stacks of hay bales. Their favorite part of the trip was the pumpkin launcher which lauched pumpkins across a corn field!
